The Legrand group, in association with the Franco-Indian Education Trust and support from French Embassy in India, launched the UGAM Legrand scholarship program in May 2018. Through the scholarship program, Legrand aims to promote quality education to the Indian students to pursue their higher studies in France. Legrand has so far contributed to finance the cost of the studies of 33 Indian students, who went to pursue their Master’s programmes at various public and private universities. They came from varied study backgrounds: Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, Journalism etc.

The scholarship is designed for Indian students to pursue a master’s programme in France in the field of management, science and engineering. The students with an annual family income that is below 10 lakhs and/or children of armed forces personnel (preference will be given to children of martyrs) are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

The awardees will be offered tuition fee waiver up to 10,000 euros or monthly stipend (upto 7500 euros/annum); visa and campus France fee waiver. The scholarship does not cover any other expenses, such as return flight tickets, accommodation, insurance and other travel related costs.

Selection process:

• The applicants will be shortlisted on their academic results, project of studies, motivation, and socioeconomic status.
• The shortlisted candidates will undergo a telephonic round of interview conducted by an experienced panel of interviewers.
• Final list of selected students will be published on the website and will receive the personalized scholarship award letter issued by Legrand.

Two of our students- KAJAL & DIKSHA secured this scholarship last year. Both had been selected for MIM program at prestigious public Grande Ecole of France- I.M.T. Business School, Paris.

KAJAL-  I can’t thank Rishabh sir enough! After finishing my graudation, I had almost 2 years gap while I appeared for CAT. There was huge pressure to get into a top college. DIKSHA- Getting a 100% Scholarship for Management studies at World’s Top 100 ranked AMBA & AACSB certified French Govt B-School is one of the biggest achievements of my life. When I started CAT preparation, I never thought I will achieve something so big. I can’t imagine we as students have no idea at all about the best opportunities in the world. Thank God, I had Rishabh Sir to guide me. Today, I can say regardless of my CAT score, I am going to a B-School much higher ranked than IIMs and that too on 100% scholarship!! Can you beat that!
